Columbia Man Charged With Corruption of Minors Following Police Investigation
COLUMBIA, Pa. — A Columbia Borough man has been arrested and charged after police responded to a report involving a juvenile at an apartment complex on Plane Street on the night of February 10, 2026, according to a criminal complaint filed in Lancaster County.
Columbia Borough Police were dispatched around 8:48 p.m. to the Wagon Works Apartments at 920 Plane Street for a report of a suspected offense involving a minor, the affidavit states. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a 16‑year‑old who reported having been at the apartment of Bertram Lamonte Davis, 65, also of Columbia.
According to the complaint, the juvenile accompanied officers to the apartment complex, where police located Davis on the third floor near an elevator. The teen identified Davis as the individual involved, and officers took him into custody at the scene.
Police say Davis later spoke with investigators after being advised of his Miranda rights. Statements made during the interview contributed to the charges filed, according to the affidavit.
Court documents show that Davis has been charged with Corruption of Minors, a felony offense when the accused is 18 or older. The incident is listed as having occurred at Davis’s apartment, identified in records as Unit 4303 of the Wagon Works complex.
The complaint, filed under docket number CR‑42‑26, was accepted by the office of Magisterial District Judge Miles K. Bixler on February 11, 2026. Davis was transported to the Columbia Borough Police Department following his arrest and awaits further court proceedings.
Authorities note that the investigation is ongoing.
